Bored with your breakfasts? Craving something sweet for dessert, but don’t want to feel guilty? Tired of the sugar packed into your jams or flavored yogurts? Have no fear, your solution is here, well in your box. With just a little softening and honey-help your pears are the perfect tool to sweeten up any snack, make your breakfast decadent, or finish off the day with a little ice cream. Ditch the added sugars in your flavored yogurt or jams and add a baked pear to your toast, or use it as the perfect bowl to sweeten up your yogurt in a healthy and delicious way. It would also be great on a grilled cheese- don’t knock it till you try it! The number of pearings are endless!

Servings: 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 pear
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • dash of cinnamon
  • drizzle of honey
  • 1 cup/ serving of plain yogurt
  • granola

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 375
  • Slice your pear in half lengthwise and brush open face with olive oil followed with a sprinkle of cinnamon and drizzle of honey
  • Place in a pan of any size and stick in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pear starts getting soft and you can stick a knife into it
  • Remove from the oven and place on a plate or in the fridge to cool (fridge is quicker if you’re impatient like me)
  • Just using a small knife, carve out the core. Top with yogurt, honey, and granola
