It’s almost the holidays.

For many, that means meals shared with those dear to us. Meals that are full of bountiful veggies and fruit. Meals that nourish and heal.

But that isn’t the case for the one in six households in Richland County experiencing food insecurity. Lack of transportation may become an additional barrier to accessing food that is already often too expensive or too far away.

Your support helps FoodShare South Carolina address a need for access to fresh, low-cost, good food. Our Food Hub, Partner Sites and Neighborhood Coordinators bring produce right to where people live in different communities in the Midlands, produce that’s affordable and produce that people want to cook and eat.

Will you help support FoodShare this winter and year round?

Your donation, no matter what amount you choose to give, will sustain and improve FoodShare’s reach and benefit many who struggle to access food.

  • $10 – helps us offer the freshest produce at affordable prices
  • $25 – supports training of volunteers who serve as Partner Sites and Neighborhood Coordinators
  • $50 – sustains our FoodShare delivery vehicle
  • $125 – helps with a portion of our monthly utility costs

A lot goes into making FoodShare SC happen, and there is much potential still to be realized!  Your monetary contribution will help us to continue our current programming and expand to serve other parts of the state and our community.  FoodShare SC currently financially operates out of the University of South Carolina’s School of Medicine, however, 100% of your contribution will go directly to our program. Your donation is tax deductible.

And it’s about more than just about a box of food. FoodShare provides community. FoodShare gives hope, FoodShare builds confidence.

Support from you helps us reach thousands of people with food access and education programs every year. We thank you for that.

Wishing you the best this holiday season!

The FoodShare South Carolina Team
