A lot goes into making FoodShare SC happen, and there is much potential still to be realized!

Since our beginning, FoodShare South Carolina has made healthy eating easier for parents working two jobs, seniors stuck on fixed income, and folks on the income margins who are just trying to make ends meet. We are fueled by the stories of our participants who are bringing their chronic illnesses under control through the Fresh Food Box and the testimonies of our friends who are addressing life’s other barriers as their food access becomes secure.

For the first time in our six-year history, we are inviting our friends and family into these stories through a capital campaign to support the FoodShare South Carolina Distribution Headquarters and Teaching Kitchen.

To get this project over the finish line, we find ourselves in need of support support totaling $400,000. This facility will truly be the epicenter of all FoodShare programs across the state; where medical learners and community members come together to improve healthcare communication, where new partners are trained to replicate our proven program process, and where participants can rely on great quality produce.

Donations can be made online, with our mail-in form or by scanning this QR Code from your mobile device.

FoodShare SC currently financially operates out of the University of South Carolina’s School of Medicine and donations are handled through University of South Carolina’s Development & Giving website. Your donation is tax deductible and 100% of your contribution will go directly to our program.
