SUMTER, S.C. (WIS) – Sumter County residents can now buy boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables at a reduced price through a new FoodShare South Carolina hub at the United Way of Sumter, Clarendon and Lee Counties.

The program arrives as Sumter residents have fewer nearby options for groceries since two grocery stores have closed, while another is being renovated. The hub is intended to offer another place for people to get fresh produce.
